Nigerian President Promises to Open Chabad House
The president of Nigeria, Mr. Goodluck Jonathan, prayed at the Western Wall amid his official state visit to Israel. Accompanying the president was Rabbi Yisroel Uzan, Shliach to Nigeria, along with a hundred or so Nigerian ministers and regional governors.
At the western wall, the Nigerian president promised to help Chabad open a Jewish center in the nation’s financial capital – Lagos, which will be of assistance to the hundreds of Israelis who arrive there for business purposes each year.
