Hundreds Visit RaShaB’s Ohel
Rostov, Russia — Jews form all over Russia came to visit the Ohel of the fifth Lubavicher Rebbe Sholom Dov Ber Schneerson on his birthday last week.
This year, members of Rostov Jewish community showed particular activity. Students form the Ohr Avner Jewish day school, members of the women’s club, big group of youth club members, participants of the STARS program and many others came to the Ohel at the old Jewish cemetery to remember the Rebbe.
Many people came from other cities, including a large party of activists from Sochi. Some members of the group have just undergone circumcision and this trip was part of their way to rediscover their Jewish roots.
Jewish community of Rostov and its rabbi Chaim Fridman put a lot of efforts in organising the event, accommodating the visitors and arranging Jewish tours of the city.
