Ulster County Jewish Center Unveils $400K Renovation
Chabad-Lubavitch of Ulster County’s Rabbi Yitzchok Hecht welcomes former NYC mayor Rudy Giuliani for a visit.
Chabad-Lubavitch of Ulster County in Kingston, N.Y., unveiled its newly-renovated social hall and brand new guest accommodations at a community breakfast and ribbon cutting ceremony.
Costing $400,000, the upgrade to the Jewish center’s facilities was made possible by community member Curtis Katz.
As a centerpiece to the renovations, the seven bedrooms will enable locals who live outside of walking distance of the synagogue to attend services on the Sabbath and holidays.
“Now, they’ll be able to enjoy a true Shabbos experience, and we will also be able to host many guests throughout the year,” said Rabbi Yitzchok Hecht.
