This Is Major! Tzivos Hashems Newest Major!

It’s official. Last Wednesday at exactly 7:34 pm, the staff at Tzivos Hashem headquarters noticed a little red blip on their screen. It’s indication? The first chayol in Chayolei Tzivos Hashem, Menachem Mendel Shemtov of Riverdale, NY, had reached the “cloud-touching” rank of a Major!

Asked for a statement on the milestone Rabbi Benjaminson, director of Tzivos Hashem, commented “Going this high in rank means that he must’ve put his heart and two souls into it. It means the soldier made a commitment, and followed through!”

And he’s just the first! Tzivos Hashem headquarters reported that the world can expect many others to attain similar heights and higher as base commanders around the world are constantly fine-tuning the soldiers of the Rebbe’s army.
In light of the above, you come to realize that the spotlight right now is not just shining on Major Shemtov, alone, rather on all the individuals who made his climb a possibility. His base commander, Rabbi Moshe Kotlarsky of Merkos L’inyonei Chinuch, Rabbi Yerachmiel Benjaminson of Tzivos Hashem, Rabbi Shaya Smetana of anash.com, and the truly devoted staff at Myshliach.

“This is everyone’s moment” Said Rabbi Mendy Shanowitz of Myshliach. “We’re all so proud of Menachem Mendel for being the pioneer he is.” And Rabbi Shanowitz pointed out something that most people would overlook upon hearing such news. “This climb was and continues to be all his. He did it in his own time and at home, and that’s really what Myshliach is all about.

Perhaps the ones swelling with the most pride are Major Shemtov’s parents. His father had this to say about his son’s truly monumental achievement. “I feel like any proud parent whose son or daughter serves in the army. But the pride does not just belong to us. No doubt, The Commander In Chief has tremendous nachas from Menachem Mendel becoming the first Major in Chayolei Tzivos Hashem. May the Rebbe always have nachas from All the Chayolim in Tzivos Hashem!”

And what did Major Shemtov have to say about his newly earned status or about his intense commitment to being a soldier in Chayolei Tzivos Hashem, for that matter? Well, not a whole lot. The Major is somewhat soft-spoken, but he did pass a message on to his fellow comrades across the world. “Chayolim everywhere should follow my lead so we can all make the Rebbe proud!”

  • Wondering

Shimmy keep up the great work, I don’t know how u do it, how do u raise all this money in such hard times.

  • Wake up & smell the coffee

Where did the Rebbe’s Tzivos Hashem go?
The one for ALL Jewish children equally.
Let’s stop thanking all the great people who invented this new program and instead remind them that the Rebbe is the one who set the rules for Tzivos Hashem.

  • Chaim Tovim

I’m fairly certain that when we were kids we were higher than that… am I mistaken?

to #15 are you kidding me? please allow this precious boy who worked so hard to take a bow and be proud!

  • To mr negative

What do u mean the Rebbes tzivos Hashem? In 30 years since tzivos Hashem was created it has never been so vibrant? Why is this not good enough for you? Why be negative? Have ur children join, and see what our family is experiencing!

  • To # 14

What else have you been sniffing?

When the Rebbe started Tzivos Hashem, he didn’t place anyone in the CEO chair. So chassidim had to get up and start and facilitate everything on their own.

It’s still 100 percent the Rebbe’s Tzivos Hashem. But without all the great names mentioned above, it wouldn’t be thriving the way it is with nearly 10,000 world wide participating in its programs monthly…..

Unless, number 14, you think you can do better. . .oh that’s right, you’re not doing anything but leaving nasty comment on a website about how this and that will make a difference. U want change, get up and make it yourself. Otherwise, let TH keep on building the Rebbe’s Army as they’ve been doing thus far.

  • To number 15

Chayolei Tzivos Hashem was initiated about 8 yrs ago. It’s a new branch of the Tzivos Hashem the Rebbe started 30 yrs back.

  • TH parent

Kids were higher in the past, but not as part of an active weekly program that requires year round involvement.
