Children Learn Lessons of Golus and Geula for Yud Tes Kislev

Lessons of Golus and Geula were taught at Cheder at the Ohel for Yud Tes Kislev. Their exciting program had the whole school split into two teams: Team Golus and Team Geula. Each team drew posters and gave a performance.

Rabbi Naftoli Charyton asked the children questions about Yud Tes Kislev, while Rabbi Leibel Paris kept track of the points each child earned from answering questions, their behavior, and chayos for bentching. Rabbi Levi Schapiro supervised the productions and technical equiptment. The Cheder had a light seuda before the boys headed home on this short erev shabbos.

From Rosh Chodesh Kislev the children have been learning Tayna baal peh. Those who learned the requirements for their grade level were entered in a raffle. The winner of the leather bound Tayna with their name engraved on it was first grader, Mullie Fishbein! All the boys were winners on this Chag ha geulah, since they are the spiritual children of the Alter Rebbe, learning in one of his mosdos.

My sons enjoyed preparing for the performances. It made the Alter Rebbe and his challenges come alive for them. Great job!
