Hundreds Attend the 28th Annual Siyum HaRambam
CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn [CHI] — Hundreds of Bochurim and Anash attended the 28th annual Siyum HaRambam HaOlami in the Oholei Torah Ballroom in Crown Heights last night.
Many rabbis attended the event, including Israel’s chief rabbi, Rabbi Yona Metzger. The Siyum was done by Rabbi Avrohom Osdoba, and the Haschola was done by Rabbi Yaacov Schwei.
The event will mark the completion of daily Rambam study of three chapters for the 28th time. Those who study three chapters a day of the Rambam’s Mishnah Torah and those who study the Sefer Hamitzvos daily, complete this years cycle.
As the event marks the completion the 28th cycle of study, it also marks the beginning of studying the 29th cycle.
The Rebbe instituted the daily studying of the Rambam’s Mishnah Torah in 1984 and encouraged people everywhere to learn the code.

Yes. The reason that he does not come is that since Gimmel Tammuz he has not been invited to come & chazer the rebbes siyum as he had done prior to then.
