Yeshiva Celebrates Dedication of Newly Refurbished Dorm

PRETORIA, South Africa [CHI] — Tuesday, the 2nd ofAdar in Pretoria, South Africa, was the Chanukas HaBayis of the newly refurbished dormitory of the Lubavitch Yeshiva, together with the groundbreaking for the Mikva which will be attached to the dormitory.

The event, which was addressed by Rabbi Dovid Schurder, who founded the Yeshiva, was well attended by many local supporters of the Yeshiva.

After putting up the Mezuzas and the Groundbreaking Ceremony, the guests had a tour of the new facilities, with some of the guests trying their hand with the gym equipment.

Rabbi Schurder spoke about the connection with this week’s Parshah, making a dwelling place for Hashem in this world, which is achieved by the combined efforts of the Bochrim in learning Torah, and by the generosity of all benefactors, in particular Mr Louis Pearlman, in providing such a beautiful facility for the Bochrim to eat, sleep and relax in.

The dormitory, which is within the campus of the Pretoria Hebrew Congregation, who host the Yeshiva, now provides on site all the needs of the Yeshiva.
