Cheder Menachem Teacher Receives Prestigious Award

LOS ANGELES, CA [CHI] — The Milken Family Foundation through the BJE of Los Angeles honored four teachers out of 1,000 Day School teachers in Southern California with the prestigious award that recognizes teachers commitment to education, their students and their Mosod.

Cheder Menachem was once again chosen for this recognition at the school ceremony on Tuesday, 26 Tishrei, when this presentation was bestowed upon Rabbi Dov Goldman, fourth grade Rebbe.

The award was given in the presence of Dr. Gill Graff, Director of the BJE, Mr. Richard Sandler of the Milken Family Foundation, members of the Milken Family and faculty and students of the Cheder. The entire ceremony was covered by local press and filmed for the formal Award Luncheon in December at which time, Rabbi Goldman will receive his $15,000 award.

A surprised Rabbi Goldman thanked the BJE and the Milken Foundation for the award and his colleagues and Talmidim for their support. He expressed his gratitude to Hashem for all the Brochos and thanked the Rebbe for the z’chus to teach in Cheder Menachem.

The Cheder is proud to be recipient of this award for the second time in three years. It is a reflection of the devotion, expertise and professionalism of the principals, Rabbeim, teachers and staff — and the love of Torah demonstrated by the students.
