BROOKLYN, NY [CHI] — As part of its Living Archive Preservation Project, JEM has released a DVD with over 50 hours newly restored audio of Farbrengens of the Rebbe. The selected Farbrengens from the three months of Menachem Av, Elul and Tishrei of the years 5711-5728 (1951-1968) have been extracted from the original recordings made by Rabbi Sholom Yisroel Hodakov during the events, and have been meticulously preserved by experts in reel-to-reel audio work.

Newly Restored Farbrengens Now Available

“There were many words or sections of the Farbrengens that you couldn’t catch on the old versions,” said Mendel Gourarie, of The Living Archive, which has underwritten the restoration project. “We’ve been updating and cleaning up the Farbrengens from the original reels, and these new versions really create a whole new piece. They are far superior in quality to the old.”

The DVD is available for $15 to registered users of JEM’s Sichos Kodesh on Ipod and for $30 to non-registered.
