Cheder Chabad of Monsey hosted a beautiful gala reception in honor of its 10th year anniversary this past Sunday night at the grand ballroom of K'hal Tzemach Tzedek Lubavitch of Monsey.

The evening began with welcoming remarks by Cheder Chabad's Menahel, Rabbi Yisroel Shusterman. Rabbi Avrohom Wolowick, Principal of the Cheder Boys School, then recited the Rebbe's Kapital of Tehillim which was followed by a Dvar Torah by Rabbi Boruch Lesches, the Rav of the Monsey Chabad community.

Cheder Chabad of Monsey Celebrates 10 Years!

Cheder Chabad of Monsey hosted a beautiful gala reception in honor of its 10th year anniversary this past Sunday night at the grand ballroom of K’hal Tzemach Tzedek Lubavitch of Monsey.

The evening began with welcoming remarks by Cheder Chabad’s Menahel, Rabbi Yisroel Shusterman. Rabbi Avrohom Wolowick, Principal of the Cheder Boys School, then recited the Rebbe’s Kapital of Tehillim which was followed by a Dvar Torah by Rabbi Boruch Lesches, the Rav of the Monsey Chabad community.

The many guests were then treated to the debut of the Cheder Chabad of Monsey’s Boys Choir led by Bentzi Ptalis accompanied by the live music of Rabbi Zalman Goldstein.

The Parents of the Year Award was presented to Mr. & Mrs. Dror and Shlomit Frommer and the Aishes Chayil Award went to teacher and parent, Mrs. Pirhia Flamer. The crowd then heard from a star Cheder student, Menachem Mendel Krasnjanski.

A showing of a beautiful new video, produced in honor of the evening, was enjoyed by all.

The evening concluded with Gershon Sandler, Director of Development for the Cheder, expressing Hakaros Hatov to the many individuals that helped make the evening such a big success.

    While i don’t live in Monsey i dealt with Rabbi Schusterman many times and all I can say i never saw such devotion, such a pleasant person I which every school would have a man lie him

    We should learn from Monsey. They have a Rabbi who is a big talmid choghom and uses his knowledge for the community. He is constantly giving shiurim. He is frinedly to all the people and really concerned about everyone.

    On the other hand he leads firmly. A real true talmid chochom who is marbe sholom baolam.

    Crown Heights wake up and learn from him.

    Amazing! Does anyone know who made the video? Amazing work, Cheder Chabad seems to be an amazing Cheder. Thanks to all the teachers, principals and the rest of the Hanhalla. Too bad it wasn’t around when I was growing up.
