New JEM/Malka Touger Film for Kids Now in Production!

TVERIA, ISRAEL [CHI] — In conjunction with today’s Siyum of the yearly learning of Rambam, Crownheights.info has obtained photos of a new film being produced by Malka Touger (Producer of the videos I Am A Chassid and Hand in Hand) in collaboration with JEM. The new Rebbe video for kids is reported to be a tour through special sites of Chassidic interest in Eretz Yisroel, woven together with the Rebbe’s words about them.

A cameraman, a lighting person, Director, several assistants, and child actors were sighted last week during a film shoot at the Rambam’s Kever in Tveria.

Details are sketchy. More updates to come as they become available…

    Dear Mrs. Tougar,
    Before you complete the video here is a great peice of advice. Dont make it 25 minutes!!!
    Im sick and tired of purchasing jewish kids’ videos for $25 and the video is a length of all of 25 to 30 minutes!!!
    The non jewish kids videos (barney, elmo) are 60-70 minutes and are $8!!!
    Please let us get value for our dollar and you will help encourage people to only let their kids see yiddishe videos!!!

    i wasnt aware that some people like you can be so ungreatful and disgusting! First of all, Mrs. Touger does not need your ”peices of advice”, (telling from the IQ of your comment), and second, im sorry that your so sick and tired, maybe you SHOULD stick to buying the non jewish videos.

    To-gyew definately has a chip on his/her shoulder!!
    Gyew is just expressing EVERYone’s desire for a video that keeps children occupied with a quality product. There was NOTHING outrageous or unkind about her comment.
    BUT to-gyew maligned her terribly and should apologize before Yom Kippur.

    i agree. why not make jewish video with meaning, cheaper. Especially since we tend to have larger families and could afford to pay less. It is BECAUSE we appreciate that we’re asking; not the opposite

    The problem is also there’s a smaller market so while they charge more they still make less. And let’s be honest, there isn’t that much money in the Jewish Kids Video market.

    Also, you sound like your threatening to buy barney if you don’t find the value equal. Let me point out that if you show your children barney videos that’s a decision you made, no one was forcing you, and can not be blamed on JEM and their too short videos. I’m just sayin’…
