Hundreds Study Daily Daf in Gemara Sotah with Rabbi Bell’s New Online Shiur

BROOKLYN, NY [CHI] — The new daily shiur on Gemara Sotah is generating unprecedendant interest among Anash around the world. The program’s new website TorahCafe.com will feature ongoing live and archived Shiurim in all areas of Torah accompanied by the associated text, as well as other visual aids, on the screen.

The site’s inaugural Shiur on Misechta Sotah.is uploaded each evening on the Daf that corresponds to that night’s Omer in accordance with our Minhag to learn the 49 Dafim of Sotah during Sefiras Haomer. The Shiur is delivered by the Montreal Dayan Rabbi Berel Bell, who serves as Mechanech and Posek of the Lubavitch community in Montreal, Canada and an educational expert and author for the JLI. Rabbi Bell is well known for his clear and engaging delivery.

Once recorded, the Shiurim are archived and available perpetually on the site. In time, the site will grow into a large resource of Shiurim on many topics.

The site is a natural outgrowth of Bais Midrash L’Shluchim and Bais Midrash L’Shluchos, online learning ventures for Shluchim. This new initiative of Merkos L’Inyanei Chinuch is brought to you as a joint project of the Rohr JLI and JNET.
