Driver Suffers Medical Episode, Crashes SUV Into Building in Crown Heights

A woman in a Range Rover SUV suffered a medical episode Thursday morning, reversing her car and crashing into a building on Maple Street in Crown Heights.

The incident, caught on surveillance camera, took place around 11:45am at the corner of Kingston Ave and Maple Street. Video shows as the vehicle, with its driver’s door open, beginning to reverse around the corner from Kingston Ave onto Maple Street, hopping the curb and crashing into a building.

Bystanders stepped up to assist the female driver, providing care and calling 911.

The female was transported to the Hospital by the FDNY.
