Bochur Severely Injured After Being Struck By Speeding Car Thursday Night

A young man was struck and severely injured Thursday night by a vehicle as he was crossing Eastern Parkway.
The incident took place around 1:00am at the intersection of Albany Ave and Eastern Parkway, when the bochur began crossing the street just as the light changed. A car, attempting to catch the light, sped through at a high rate of speed and struck the bochur.
The driver of the car immediately stopped, and 911 and Hatzalah were called.
Emergency responders rushed to the scene, providing life saving emergency care. The bochur was rushed to Kings County Hospital by FDNY in critical condition.
Video footage of the incident was caught on surveillance camera, and reports from the scene indicate that he driver of the car was not impaired at the time of the crash.
