One Dead in Fatal Sunday Morning Crash in Crown Heights

An early morning crash in Crown Heights has left a motorcyclist dead after he collided with a sedan on the corner of Midwood Street and New York Ave.

According to the NYPD, an Infinity sedan had been driving west bound on Midwood Street around 4:30am and crossed into the intersection on a green light when the motorcyclist, driving up New York Ave, turned left on red onto Midwood.

The two collided, sending the motorcyclist into the cars windshield before being thrown to the ground.

EMS rushed the motorcyclist to the hospital in critical condition, where he was pronounced dead.

The NYPD Highway patrol arrived and is conducting an investigation, with the driver of the sedan already cleared as not being intoxicated while driving.
