Vehicle From Robbery at Gunpoint Involved in Hit-and-Run Collision In Crown Heights
by CrownHeights.info
When we refer to a clean getaway, we usually mean leaving the scene of the crime and disappearing without leaving any evidence. This gunpoint robber appears to have missed that memo.
At around 5:00am Monday morning, a car was involved in what was likely a routine accident on Nostrand Ave and Union Street in Crown Heights. What should simply been an exchange of information became a crime scene when the offending driver sped off, making it a hit-and-run collision.
Sadly for the driver, he left a crucial piece of evidence behind at the scene, his front bumper.
Police immediately began looking for the runaway vehicle, tracking the bumper down to a black Audi that fled southbound on Nostrand Avenue. The license plate on the bumper, New York plate NKNE3510, was also connected with a gunpoint robbery tw days ago.
