3 Car Accident on Lefferts and Troy

At around 11:00am this morning there was a 3 car accident at the intersection of Lefferts Ave. and Troy Ave. The incident took place as the Shalom Center Bus was driving on Lefferts and according to the driver a van coming up Troy took the light and they collided and both vehicles crashing into the empty lot on the corner taking down the pedestrian signal, damaging the gate surrounding the lot and hitting a parked car.

Hatzalah responded but all drivers refused medical attention and were B”H ok. Police arrived on scene and asked the drivers for their license and insurance the driver of the van stated that he dose not have a driver’s license and he was just moving his boss’s car. His boss, who’s the owner of the grocery on that corner was present and verified this. There were no arrests made, and no transports to any hospital.

    HEY THANKS CROWN HEIGHT FOR MAKE THAT A NEW ACCIDENT PRONE LOCATION SO NOW POLICE CAR 1474 IS GOING TO BE ISSUING TICKETS TO EVERYONE. I FEEL THAT WE ARE NOT TARGETS AS IT SEEM IT IS US THE MOTORIST THAT SEEM TO WANT TO RECIVE TICKETS FOR NOT WEARING A SEATBELT AND TALKING AVD DRIVING ON THE CELL PHONE IF YOU WOULD JUST TAKE A SECOND AND PUT YOUR SEATBELT ON OR PULL OVER IF YOU MUST TALK ON THE CELL PHONE CAUSE YOU NOT JUST PUTTING YOUR LIFE IN DANGER BUT MANY OTHER PEOPLE DON’T BE A SCUMBAG DRIVE IN A NORMAL FASITON. GIVE PEOPLE THEIR SPACE ON THE ROAD AND DON’T TAILGATE THATR MEANS DON’T DRIVE ON PEOPLE BUMPERS.

    About ten years ago, almost the same thing happened – also with a mini School-Bus:
    The school bus wanted to make a right from Troy unto Lefferts from the middle lane and he thought the guy on the right would give him priority. Unfortunatly, they ended up in a pretty similar position…

    it is my feverant hope that, one day, people will finally learn to drive…
