City Bus Rear-ends Car after Pedal Gets Stuck
CROWN HEIGHTS [CHI] — Stuck pedals aren’t limited to Toyotas alone, they can happen to city busses too and one family found that out after a one smashed into their car twice while they waited for a red light.
In the car was a couple along with their infant child who were waiting at the intersection of New York Avenue and Carroll Street when they were suddenly jarred from behind and before they can recover they were stuck once again, their car sustaining heavy damage.
Hatzalah was quickly called to check out the child, as well as the couple, who were not seriously hurt Baruch Hashem.
The bus driver told the CrownHeights.info photographer at the scene that his foot got stuck between the accelerator and the break pedal. The driver apologized profusely and was genuinely concerned for the well being of the occupants of the car, especially the child.
Police took close to an hour to respond to the scene.
