A crane collapsed at a Borough Park construction site earlier today, sending workers fleeing for their lives.
Police say the crane operator was not hurt during the incident, nor was anyone else on the ground.
Officials say a small portion of 59th Street was closed as the crane was moved. They say the area is not usually busy, so traffic didn’t become a problem.
The construction company, Shtern Construction and Remodeling, refused to comment on the incident.
