Technion students Eyal Cohen and Tomer Wassermann from the Mechanical Engineering faculty and Matan Orian and Dvir Dukhan of Industrial Engineering and Management take on the challenge to build a Rube Goldberg machine that lights the Chanukah menorah.
The film was made in the Computer Integrated Manufacturing and Robotics Laboratory in the William Davidson Faculty of Industrial Engineering and Management.
A Rube Goldberg Machine/contraption is a deliberately over-engineered or overdone machine that performs a very simple task in a very complex fashion, usually including a chain reaction. The expression is named after American cartoonist and inventor Rube Goldberg (1883–1970).
Over 80% of the missiles fired at Israel during the recent rocket attacks from Gaza were downed by the Iron Dome from Rafael Advanced Defense Systems. Technion graduates make up the majority of the engineers who developed this life saving system.

A shame
Technion is a great school with close to 20,000 jewish students and faculty and its a shame tha Chabad on Campus is completely inactive there.
