    I am tired of reading these critiques on Matisyahu’s new look. He is still Jewish! and he still feels connected to G-d. The latter is much more ‘frum’ than many Lubavitchers who wear yarmulkes, peyos and tzitzis but who feel nothing in their hearts. Everyone should just do their best to grow spiritually. Whatever works for Matisyahu works for him- we are all unique! LIVE AND LET LIVE!!!!!

    BG, that is pure apikursus. Of course he’s still Jewish, but he’s not behaving as a Jew must. And who cares whether he “feels connected”? Yiddishkeit is not about “feeling connected”, it’s about *obedience* to Hashem. We are not in this world to “feel connected” or to see “what works for us”; we are here to obey the Torah no matter how it feels to us. Halacha is not optional!
