    I think from the beginning Bloomberg’s strategy for snow removal was to simply wait until it melted. From the outset he made a remark that snow removal would be easier at the end of the week once the temperatures rise.

    Just a note about the bike lane, although the city’s policy regarding bike lanes are sheer lunacy, I think this time around it doesn’t have to do with the bike lane itself.
    The Parks Department maintains the various parkways (Eastern Pkwy, Ocean Pkwy, Etc.) and apparently they are better at sanitation then the Dept of Sanitation, it was not really a city decision to clean one before the other (Noticed this while driving down Eastern Parkway and seeing the walkways get cleared).
