Camp Gan Israel Tzeirei Hashluchim in Oracle, Arizona is in full session

ORACLE, AZ [CHI] — Camp Tzeirei Hashluchim in Oracle, Arizona is already eight days in progress. The children arrived from around the world to Phoenix Airport. As the many on-line school children were introduced to one another in the terminal, they were able to meet the friends they already new so well by name but never met them face to face. As one camper excitedly shouted after he heard the name of a child arriving “You must be my Chavrusa!” Most of the Shluchim in the camp learn in the Shluchim Office on-line school and don’t have the opportunity to spend time Davening, learning, talking and playing with other Chassidishe children.

As the sun rises over the majestic Oracle Mountains surrounding camp, the Young Shluchim are awoken to Chassidus with piping hot cocoa. At each Davening the Shluchim learn about another Minhag of the Rebbe during Davening and receive pictures of the Rebbe to place in their own album. All three meals are hot, nutritious, delicious and cooked on camp grounds.

During the fun and exciting learning classes the Young Shluchim learn about the importance of being a Shliach in the Rebbe’s army of Shluchim, Gemara, Halacha and Sichos on Tzedaka, as well as about Hey Teves and the Rebbe’s call to print Tanyas all over the world. Each day is filled with exciting sports and activities including basketball, baseball, volleyball, football, as well as horseback riding and a challenging rope course- all on camps grounds.

It was quite a sight to see the camaraderie amongst all the Tzeirie Hashluchim as they sang Haneiros Halalu together on the seventh and eight nights of Chanukah.

The Camp is a project of The Shluchim Office and is being directed by Rabbi Moshe Pinson of The Shluchim Office and a group of dedicated and hard working head counselors, counselors and staff.
