CTeen Prepares For Its Biggest Shabbaton Yet

The CTeen International Shabbaton, is less than a week away. In preparation for next week, CTeen Headquarters has been working diligently alongside NYPD and the relevant security agencies to ensure a safe and enjoyable weekend for all. The 10th annual Shabbaton is expected to be the biggest CTeen has ever seen, with over 2,500 participants in total.

“Security is always our number one priority. We are here to make sure that every single person in attendance feels safe on every corner of Crown Heights, and throughout New York,” shared Rabbi Mendel Kotlarsky, who sits on CTeen Executive committee.

This year’s highlights include havdalah with Jewish rapper Nissim Black, and a grand banquet at Brooklyn’s Pier 12. Additionally, CTeen is also taking part in the Rebbe’s Torah campaign, and have arranged for each teen to receive their own letter in the Sefer Torah Haklali.

Chapters are expected to arrive from throughout the United States, as well as from Latin America, Israel, France, England, Ukraine amongst many others.

“We want the Shabbaton to feel like home; safety is the key element in making sure that the teens have the time of their lives.”

“It’s equally humbling and thrilling to know that we’re going to be giving teens the unbelievable experience of the Shabbaton on this scale,” shared Rabbi Mendel Perlstien, from CTeen HQ “The teens are going to see and experience Judaism in a way that is unparalleled to any other event in the world.”
