NEW HYDE PARK, NY [CHI] — With the NHL on strike and the Islanders relocating to the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, Chabad of West Hempstead’s annual Chanukah on Ice celebration had to be reworked, with great results! Over 200 participated at the Iceland ice skating Rink.
The event took place on Motzai Shabbos, Zos Chanukah, and began with a Menorah lighting by Rabbi Yossi Leiberman on the center of the ice, followed by a raffle, hot dogs and knishes. Both children and adults alike enjoyed the evening of skating.
Chabad of West Hempstead is under the directorship of Rabbi Yossi and Chaya Rochel Lieberman. They will be hosting their 4th annual gala dinner on January 8th, marking 11 years of service to the greater West Hempstead community, Click Here for more information.
