The European Jewish Community Centre and English Member of the European Parliament Arlene MacCarthy organized a concert in honor of Chanukah called “LIGHTS” by the Epiphany Chamber Music Group from Manchester, in the central hall of the European Parliament.

The European Jewish Community Centre and English Member of the European Parliament Arlene MacCarthy organized a concert in honor of Chanukah called “LIGHTS” by the Epiphany Chamber Music Group from Manchester, in the central hall of the European Parliament.
The EJCC displayed an exhibition called share The Light which portraits 27 people of Jewish European origins that contributed to the development of Europe and the world. The exhibition highlights “Unity within Diversity”, that one can belong to one culture or religion and contribute to the well-being of humanity.
European Parliament Member Arlene MacCarthy said “Chanukah represents the victory of Light upon Darkness therefore we are delighted to host this holiday in this house”
The event took place before Chanukah since the Parliament in Brussels is partially closed during Chanukah. Therefore there was no Menorah lighting.
