After spending much time learning about the ins and outs of Shabbos, campers attending Camp Gan Israel of Simcha Monica were treated to a grand Shabbaton. For some campers, it was their first “real” shabbos!
Campers Enjoy Fun-Filled Shabbos in S. Monica
After spending much time learning about the ins and outs of Shabbos, campers attending Camp Gan Israel of Simcha Monica were treated to a grand Shabbaton. For some campers, it was their first “real” shabbos!
In anticipation for the Shabbaton, the campers did many preparatory activities which included making Kiddush cups, Challah boards, Challah, Cholent, and much more.
On Friday, they were taken by the staff to a busy area to do a scavenger hunt which turned out to be … Mivtza Tefillin! The campers efforts were proved to be successful as many men rolled up their sleeves to put on Tefillin.
After spending a most memorial Shabbos with their staff and director and Simcha Monica community, which included, Davening, learning, games, chassidishe stories, and much more, the campers returned home with their parents, imbuing their homes with the spirit of Shabbos.
This will surely lead to the times of moshiach which will be a Yom Shekulo Shabbos!
