Chabad Delegation Meets with IDF Chief of Staff

A delegation of Chabad Chassidim met with the chief of staff of the Israeli Defense Forces, Lt. General Benny Gantz ahead of the upcoming holiday of Rosh Hashana. A new Sefer Torah, being written in merit of the soldiers serving in the IDF, had its first letters filled in by the Lt. General.

The delegation included Rabbi Mordechai Shmuel Ashkenazi, the Rov of Kfar Chabad, Rabbi Yosef Yitzchok Aharonov, chairman of Aguc”h in Israel, Rabbi Binyomin Lifshitz, chairman of Vaad Kfar Chabad, Rabbi Shlomo Lipsh, Shliach in Kfar Achim, Rabbi Aharon Prus, coordinator of Mivtzoim activities in the IDF, Rabbi Menachem Kutner, of the Chabad Terror Victims Project, Rabbi Mony Ander, deputy Chabad spokesperson, and Rabbi Ariel Lemberg, of Aguc”h who also organized the meeting.
