Chabad at the Shore Hosts Evening of Tribute
Chabad at the Shore held its second annual “Evening of Tribute and Inspiration” on Sunday, August 24th, at the Katz JCC in Margate, NJ.
Two couples were honored for their commitment and dedication to the Jewish Community, Maurice and Mindy Torjman and Dr. Marc and Whitney Ullman. The Torjmans were presented with the Chessed award by Rabbi Avrohom and Mashie Rapoport, and the Ullmans were presented with the leadership award by Rabbi Shmuel and Tova Rapoport.
Participants enjoyed a video presentation entitled “Seasons with Chabad,” showcasing the organizations activities and services throughout the year. Four videos were shown, including footage of The Shofar Factory Workshop, Jewish Adult Education, The Jewish Summer Fest and The Model Matzah Bakery. The videos were introduced by the previous year’s honorees: Ron Zukin and Jessica Goldstein.
The evening ended with a special lively treat: an appearance by “Chabad’s Dancing Rabbis,” who came dancing and twirling through the crowd and onto the stage, bringing along with them some of the evening’s honorees and friends. Audience members were on their feet clapping and singing along, as well as capturing the moment with their phone cameras.
