Surrounded by a large crowd of local residents, Rabbonim, Shluchim and city officials, Eilat’s Chief Rabbi Yosef Hecht placed the cornerstone for the new state-of-the-art educational and synagogue complex that will become the new headquarters of Chabad of Eilat, a resort city located at the southern tip of Israel.
