A Horse and Buggy Topped with a Menorah
The Rohr Chabad at Franklin & Marshall College offered free rides on a horse-and-buggy with a menorah strapped to its roof last week.
According to Shira Kipnees, the Chabad’s incoming president, the use of a horse-and-buggy was inspired by the success of car menorah parades organized by Chabad centers around the world. Kipnees said the horse-and-buggy is strongly associated with Lancaster County’s history and culture.
She said Wednesday’s event was held to publicize the miracle of Chanukah.
