Islanders Host ‘Chanukah on Ice’ at Nassau Coliseum
Last night, the first night of Chanukah, Chabad of West Hempstead held ‘Chanukah on Ice’ at the New York Islanders vs. Winnipeg Jets hockey game at Nassau Coliseum.
At halftime, thousands of spectators cheered as a Jewish boy from the local Hebrew School recited the blessings and the Menorah was lit by Rabbi Yossi Lieberman.
Hot kosher meals were provided free of charge by I&D Glatt.
After the game, the ‘Chanukah on Ice’ attendees were invited onto the coliseum rink for skating.
