Over 200 people turned out last week for Chabad Jewish Center of South Brunswick’s ten year anniversary gala dinner celebration. Originally scheduled to take place in November, but was postponed due to Hurricane Sandy.

The event marked the 10 year anniversary of the Chabad Jewish Center of South Brunswick, a decade of service to the Jewish community, headed by Rabbi Levi and Goldie Azimov.

The dinner and celebration honored Cheryl and Steven Goldstein, Suzanne and Joseph Rosenberg, and Michael Volovnik. All of the honorees have made great contributions to the Chabad Jewish Center, through both sweat and spirit.

As longtime friends and supporters were honored, the dinner was a time to reflect on another decade of spiritual growth in the community.  As the expansion project is currently on the agenda at the South Brunswick Zoning Board, we are confident that we will get the necessary approvals to build a new state of the art, Chabad Jewish Center.

The evening featured a delectable four course dinner, A beautiful video presentation highlighting the ten wonderful years of Chabad of South Brunswick and encouraging attendees to envision an even brighter future. Rabbi Sholom Duchman, executive director of Colel Chabad, recited the Rebbe’s Kapital.  Heartwarming speeches were delivered, showcasing the vital work of Chabad in the area. The celebration concluded with lively dancing to the fantastic music of Joel Sharabi.

The dinner highlighted the vast educational and social work of Chabad around the world in general and the Chabad Jewish Center of South Brunswick, directed by Rabbi and Goldie Azimov, which is testimony to the vision, passion, and leadership of the Lubavitcher Rebbe.
