Medical Clinic Opens at ‘Shaarei Tsedek’ Center

MOSCOW, Russia — As originally planned, the Rambam Medical Center in Moscow has begun operation in its new location – the recently-opened ‘Shaarei Tsedek’ Charity Center. With a smooth transition from its previous location, doctors have resumed activity and have already served a good number of clients.

The fact that the services of medical practitioners offered free-of-charge is good news to its clients, which mainly comprise impoverished and elderly members of the Jewish community. In the near future, it is expected that the center’s clientele will be expanded to also include other categories of needy community members.

The design of the new center has taken into account the particular needs of its clients, offering soft leather sofas, stairs with handrails, a coat-check, and state-of-the-art medical technologies found in the most modern Western clinics. Among the medical staff there is a general practitioner, gynecologist, endocrinologist, opthalmologist, dermatologist, neurologist and cardiologist. The center also offers services in a number of other areas, including ultrasound and therapeutic massage.

The Rambam Medical Center and ‘Shaarei Tsedek’ Center are located in the Marina Roscha neighborhood of Moscow and is under the auspices of the Chabad Jewish community center of Moscow. Together, they are helping needy Jews by dealing with their medical problems, as well as providing them a dose of optimism and zest for life.
