PSA: List of School Closures Due to Snow

With several inches of snow already on the ground and expected accumulations of up to a foot, some local schools have announced that they will remain closed for the day, while other remain open. The following is a list of school closures in Crown Heights:

 

Girls’ Schools:

Beis Rivkah – All grades closed

Bnos Menachem – School open until 12:30

Beis Chaya Mushka – All grades open

 

Boys’ Schools:

Oholei Torah – Pre-school closed. All grades at 667 Eastern Parkway open.

Lubavitcher Yeshiva Crown St. – All grades open, including pre-school.

Lubavitcher Yeshiva Ocean Pkwy. – Pre-school closed. All other grades open.

Darchai Menachem – All grades open.

Ohr Menachem – All grades open.

    The ONLY school in thr Rebbe’s shechuna to be closed!!!!!

      BR parent says:
      Thank G-d! For safetly reasons other schools should have been closed as well! As soon as i saw the storm this morning, i told my kids they are staying home whether or not school would be open! Only BR had brain to close!

      to #8 Actually Lamplighters was closed as well. Only difference is they did it out of safety rather than saving on payroll

    BR is a really big school. It wouldn’t have been safe for the students or the teachers to try and get to school.

    How about the tv weatherman lamblasting the mayor for not closing all of the schools in the city owing to what the two storms would do. Given what has occurred this year, prudence is the far better option.
