Today: Four JNet Sponsorships for the Price of One!

Moses M. is a 54 year old physician living in Yichun, Heilongjiang, China, 250 miles from the nearest synagogue. Not having known anything about Judaism other than the fact that he is a Jew, he browsed through chabad.org to see what he would find.

He found JNet, the organization that finds suitable study partners for any Jew anywhere to study any Jewish subject with an over-the-phone chavrusa once a week free of charge. One phone call was all it took to get the ball rolling and within a few hours, Moses had been set up with Mayer S. from Chicago. Now, Moses and Mayer study Shulchan Aruch every Tuesday.

“Learning Jewish law has tremendously impacted my understanding of everyday reality,” Moses states. “For this, I am especially thankful to JNet …for making it possible for me to obtain traditional Jewish education that was completely lost to my family for close to 100 years.”

Moses’s learning was sponsored by a donation from Levi L., a Brooklyn businessman. “I didn’t have the time to commit to actually learning with someone myself and this was a way I could still be part of it,” says Levi.  Through the partnership of Levi and donors like him, JNet has been setting up an average of six new members every day. More than 6,300 have been partnered over the past eight years with thousands like Moses reporting a positive, life altering experience. Join JNet in its remarkable work and help meet the ever increasing demand for personalized Torah study.

Today, Monday, December 23, all donations to JNet will be matched by three additional donors, multiplying every dollar you donate by four! That means that you can sponsor four JNet study sessions for the price of one!

Please take a moment to visit www.jnet.org and make a donation. Large or small, your gift will help us be able to continue helping Jews like Moses, for whom JNet is a veritable lifeline through which to sustain their connection to Judaism.

$3,000 must be raised today in order for our donors to match the donations. It’s all or nothing! So please, visit www.jnet.org/donate and make a donation. Then forward this email to all of your friends so that they, too, can partner with us and help us reach our goal. Facebook it, Tweet it, spread the word and help us continue to make a difference.

For more information, visit www.jnet.org or call 718-467-4400.

JNet is a project of Merkos L’Inyonei Chinuch and was established with a generous grant from the Rohr Foundation.
