  • Synopsis

Lecture was based on answer the Rebbe gave someone complaining about his losing war w/ obesity. The Rebbe answered that doctors are over-exaggerating the ill effects of obesity, and he should mentally step away from the negativity of obesity, be in a more happier state of mind, which will increase his metabolism, helping him to lose weight.

So, it’s NOT ok to be fat, however, stay POSITIVE, and you will lose it.

  • Interesting but..

So it is true that stress can chemically induce quicker storage of fat, but I don’t think one should ignore the effects of obesity by just staying positive as a means of losing weight. Obesity obviously killing many people due to heart disease and diabetes not just due to negative thinking.

    • Milhouse

The point is that it’s not “obviously killing many people”. The risk has been greatly exaggerated. .
