Lubavitcher Yeshiva Celebrates Yud Shvat

In preparation for Yud Shvat, Tomchei Temimim was filled with excitement as talmidim of all ages took part in learning and activities that strengthened their hiskashrus to the Rebbe.

Kita Gimmel visited JEM, where the talmidim learned about the unique power of seeing videos of the Rebbe, watching farbrengens, and hearing the Rebbe’s voice delivering sichos and maamorim. The Talmidim heard how JEM began and how, through tremendous dedication, the JEM team continues to share the Rebbe’s Torah. The experience left the talmidim excited, and filled with pride in their connection to the Rebbe.

Throughout the month leading up to Yud Shvat, classes participated in an interactive curriculum focused on the meaning of Yud Shvat, the concept of hiskashrus, and our shlichus as Dor Hashvi’i. During this time, a special mivtza encouraged talmidim to focus on Tzivos Hashem missions and meaningful hachlatos, helping them translate their learning into action. Talmidim also learned lines of Bosi Legani ba’al peh and proudly collected a custom-made set of Bosi Legani collectible cards.

The week of Yud Shvat itself was filled with powerful and uplifting experiences. The week began with the writing of פ”נים to the Rebbe and visiting the Ohel. The week concluded with an interactive game as talmidim worked together in teams to locate hidden cards containing excerpts from Bosi Legani, testing the students on the information they have been learning for weeks.

The Preschool celebrated Yud Shvat in a creative way. Morah Malkie Brashevitzky designed a beautiful Pesukim Fair, where the children explored lessons from the first six of the Twelve Pesukim through hands-on activities. At each station, the boys engaged in interactive experiences that brought the pesukim to life, discovering the secrets of Torah through scratch-off art, dancing and freezing in place to find Hashem everywhere, filling a garden with edible flowers representing their mitzvos, exploring sensory depictions of Yetzias Mitzrayim from golus to geulah, building a life-size mitzvah puzzle using all parts of the body, and watching the Rebbe teach how to overcome the Yetzer Hara.

The day concluded with warm and uplifting classroom farbrengens, bringing together all the learning and inspiration from the past weeks of Bosi L’gani. The inspiration of the day of Yud Shvat should continue to strengthen the hiskashrus of the talmidim to the Rebbe throughout the year.
