Yud Shvat Marked With Beautiful Activities and Programs at ULY

The auspicious day of Yud Shvat was celebrated with beautiful activities and programs in United Lubavitcher Yeshiva.

On Friday, when the Preschool children walked into the small hall it was transformed into a beautiful garden! All the flower mitzvah notes they had brought in decorated the table creating a garden of mitzvos. Their program began by saying the pesukim and writing a פ״נ to the Rebbe. The children sang the parts of Basi Legani that they learned by heart and enjoyed making a delcious flower food craft with cookies, pretzels, and fruit loops.

They watched a special video narrating important moments with the Rebbe and explaining how we can connect to him now. They made a l’chaim, gave tzedakah, and sang a niggun together. The program ended with a “zoom-in” game guessing which moment by the Rebbe was in the picture. The talmidim did a great job!

As a Hachonoh to Yud Shvat,  Pre1a and 1st Grades went to the Rebbe’s room last week, where they said the Rebbe’s Kapitl and the 12 Pesukim. They continued to the Small Zal where they saw the place where the Rebbe said the Basi Legani Maamer. Next the boys went to the Rebbe’s Library where they saw special Chafetzim of the Rabbeim (like the Frierdiker Rebbe’s Holy hat, his Seder plate etc)

Grade 3 had a special tour by JEM as a Hachonoh to Yud Shvat, led by a former talmid of the yeshiva Mendy Schmukler (aka Memkeh). They learned about the importance of watching videos of the Rebbe and listening to the Rebbe’s Holy Sichos.

Yeshiva hosted a beautiful Father & Son Learning Program for Grades 4-6 in honor of Yud Shvat. The event began with a special Seder Chassidus giving parents the opportunity to learn the Rebbe’s ma’amer with their son. Rabbi Yosef Simpson, Menahel, shared an interesting and inspiring Dvar Torah. This was followed by a grand Minyan Shacharis. 

A delicious catered breakfast was served. There was a special presentation enabling everyone to re-experience the Rebbe’s acceptance of the Nesius. Rabbi Yosef Aron concluded the program with a unique story that highlighted the Rebbe’s incredible care and Ahavas Yisroel for each individual Yid, and spoke of our responsibility to focus our efforts in order to complete our mission and bring Moshiach.
