Oholei Torah Kicks Off Chanukah with a Beautiful OTMC Mosaic Craft, Followed by Menorah Contest Expo 5785

The Oholei Torah Chanukah celebrations began on a high note this week as the Oholei Torah Mothers Committee (OTMC) arranged a delightful hands-on craft project on Monday, engaging talmidim from Pre-1A through Grade 5 in a meaningful and creative activity. Working alongside class mothers, the OTMC guided the talmidim in creating beautiful mosaic tile menorah trays, which the children can proudly use throughout Chanukah.

The following day, the annual Oholei Torah Chanukah Menorah Contest Expo 5785 was a resounding success, with over 400 talmidim showcasing their incredible creativity and talent. This beloved event, a long-standing tradition in Oholei Torah, featured an unparalleled display of unique and innovative menorahs that left judges and attendees in awe.

Talmidim braved the snow, proudly carrying their masterpieces to the contest, which continues to grow more exciting and inspiring every year. From intricate themes to bold designs, this year’s menorahs reflected not only artistic excellence but also a deep connection to Torah & Chassidus, mitzvos, and the spirit of Chanukah.

“We are so proud of our talmidim and their remarkable creativity,” said Rabbi Mendel Levin, Oholei Torah’s Extra Curricular Director. “The dedication and passion they put into their menorahs truly bring the light of Chanukah to life. Each design tells a unique story, and it’s incredible to see how much effort and thought go into this event every year.”
