B”H, THE WEATHER WAS ONE OF THE BEST FOR A LAG B’AOMER PARADE, THANK YOU HSAHEM. THE ENTERTAINMENT ROCKED THE HOUSE AND THE ACHDUS DEFININTLEY DESERVES MOSHIACH RIGHT AWAY!!!

  • shnooazy kadoozy!

Hey guys! Did you see me ITCHE KADOOZY? I starred in the Rally!

  • Tachlis

    Boruch Hashem! We pulled through!
I’m really proud of every single one who went; you’ve given the Rebbe lots of Nachas. I can just picture the Rebbe looking on with his great smile, just like in those Lag Baomer pictures from years past.

  • saral-e

OH!!!!! WOW, see in knew Ch could have acdus and all come together, yosher koach to the organizers and to all those who attended,
the one in MTl was no so bas either!

  • tired

being that we live in australia and we still went to sleep early so that we can wake up at 1am to watch the parade live, it wasn’t working. Can a video be posted of it?

  • Sore Feet, Happy Heart

    The parade…a huge Kiddush Hashem.

    The mess…a (small) Chillul Hashem.

But a great time for everybody! Thanks to everyone who organized this, it was a good day.

And there was Achdus & Ahavas Yisroel..at least where I was!!

  • mushkie

This was totally awesome and very inspiring. I think the REbbe is VERY proud of his true followers. a big thank you to Rabbi Shimon Hecht. We couldnt do it without you.

  • dovi

nice pics looking foward to see some of the movie footage, keep up the good reparting

  • brhsrox

It’s i,possible that the biggest parade in the world’s record had only ten thousand peaple, it was forsure way more than that, i dontknow who decided that we broke the world record.

    BESIDES THAT>>>> IT WAS AUSOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • YEHUDIS E.

    EXCUSE ME, SORE FEET, THE MESS WAS NO CHILUL HASHEM AT ALL. I’M SURE THE SANITTION DEPARTMENT THOUGHT THIS WAS A BREEZE COMPARED TO THE LABOR DAY PARADE. LET’S NOT LOOK FOR A FAULT IN AN AMAZING KIDDUSH HASHEM JOB. AND, AT THE EXPENSE OF SOUNDING PREJUDICE I MUST SAY N O O N E D O E S W H A T L U B A V I T C H D O E S.
cause we have the secret ingredient …
    our hiskashrus to the REBBE.

  • attn: brhsrox

chaya… awesome is spelled with a “w” not a “u”…. ur qt newyaz! love you!

  • mendel H

the achudus, ahavas israel, ahavas rahim, was fantastic. there was no politics, no hacrosas, it was beautiful. this was a true nachas to hashem, the rebbe, and lubavitch

  • A Crown Heights Bubby

This was one of the best Lag B’Omer parades ever!! It was well thought out and executed artfully. May all of the organizers be well compensated by the Rashbi, Rabbi Akiva, the Rebbe, and JJ Hecht for all of the amazing Naches Ruach they provided them.

  • A Montrealer

I also could not get the video!!!!!!!
Please can you post some footage??????
Kol Hakovod also goes to those Montrealers for giving the kids a great Lag B’omer!
We had lots of entertainment and the nash just kept coming !!!!!!!The awesome weather topped it all off!!!!!
    Thank You Hashem a million!!!!

  • esther

mendy pellin was a great addition, got the kids involved, the audience going, created a good atmosphere. entertainment was also good, esp. the trapeze show which was visible for all to see. thanks to all involved!

  • I want Moshiach now!

Nice to see that Crown Heights can actually pull themselves together & quit the politics & fighting & accomplish something positive that will only affect this community in a good way. Now there’s proof, if we really want to, we can. I am sure the Rebbe was very proud of this community for once!
May we only continue to do positive achdusdik things!

  • i love clowns

i think the clowns were the best they added so much chayus and helped make the parade a big success.

you clowns rock keek up the good work.

p.s. the chickins are included as clowns.

  • Vaad Ha-Float Member

the pictures of peoples backs of fine, but lets get down to business and get some pictures of the floats,Specifically the BRHS float.

  • CHer

interesting to note that there only lubavitchers here for the most part… it was a narrow success… what happened to what we stand for?

  • Yosef C H

There was such excitement in the week and then days preceding the parade. Something extraordinary seemed to be on the horizon.

But then this very morning, so much had to be set perfectly in place. I hoped my expectations were not too unrealistic.

Then it took off in a bang. It wasn’t as expected rather way beyond that. It was so beautiful, exciting and inspiring.

We certainly must be tipping any scale to bring to a world of harmony with the Rebbe’s guidance in every sence.

I emphasize ‘we’ rather than ‘the event’ because the beauty of this parade was born out of so many individuals putting in selfless untimed effort to shine such a bright light into the eyes of the entire community, as Lag Baomer’s Bonfire signifies.

  • brhs Does rock

Mendy pellin rocked the house. Great MC!!
    Parade was stunning.

    Att: BRHSrocks.
BRHS does rock, but please don’t embarrass BRHS with your spelling!

  • CH Mom

It’s amazing how many folks are commenting on the ahavas yisroel this event proved we can have…

It really makes me feel good – shows that it’s really what we all want!

Please lets run with this, eliminate the ugly stuff and continue with all this good will for ahavas yisroel and we will all reap the benefits!!!

It’s high time… We must show our children the right example, practicing ahavas yisroel within our own families and also within the greater lubavitch family, so they will want to choose to continue in our footsteps (in the direction the Rebbe promotes) instead of going off chas v’shalom.

This day of ahavas yisroel proves we can do it!

Anyone with ideas on what else can be done to promote ahavas yisroel (since next lag b’omer is a whole year away) please comment!

  • FORMER STUDENT

BAIS RIVKA AS USUAL HAS THE BEST THINGS… THEIR FLOAT KNOCKED OUT EVERYONES

I think a big thank you to Rabbi Shimon Hecht should be given. I for one loved every minute of it.My children watched it on the computer, then on to our own parade in los angeles-where a tremendous kiddush lubavitch was made too!So lets keep up yhe good work.

  • melb

aussie aussie oy oy oy!!!!!! unfortunately we were unable to veiw the broadcasting of the parade due to the fact that our internet access shuts down at precisely 1:00am sharp.
(11:00am NY time) therefore we beg of you please post a video of it because we really want to watch the parade thank you in advance!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We want to let everyone in the whole world know that:MELBOURNE HAD THE MOST BEAUTIFUL AMAZING INSPIRING ACHDUSDIKE PARADE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WE WANT MOSHIACH NOW! by the wasy…our clown were better!!!!
and thanks to moishy and dina kahn and ezra susskin….who made it all happen!

  • lets share names

not only was the parade amazing, but from all these comments only ONE was inciting sinas chinam! i guess the yetzer hora never sleeps

  • It-s for kids

    Loved the whole event.
Only upsetting thing: the show etc is for the kids – unfortunately so many adults wanted to see that they were standing obstructing the kids, so that the kids around where i was sitting could hardly see a thing. Also is it possible to have video screens set up around so that those further back can see what is going on

  • bais rivkah girl

the parade was amazing this year i think it was the best parade!!!!!

  • sydney

amazing parade! what about pictures of the organizers of the parade… e.g menachem lipsker?

  • sydney

amazing parade! what about pictures of the organizers of the parade… e.g menachem lipsker?

  • Top Secret

Wow, this was the biggest parade I have ever seen! My favorite part was the floats — they were so beautiful. Of course, the whole parade was outstanding, and the shows were so entertaining! A major Kiddush Hashem. I can’t wait till next Lag B’Omer.

  • missing Picture

If anyone knows who “borrowed” the 15 by 15 Picture of the Rebbe please let them know that it wasn’t Hefker.

  • part of CH

parade was amzing, i ahve such a zchus to be part of it.

balloons were great idea, i think darchai menachem organized it, i know my kids loved it!

pretty impressed with the airplane message, who took care of it?

loved the boxing float, so creative, go hadar torah.

    br’s float was also nice.

too bad morristowns float, didnt survive the wind.

all the bands were adorable, pity the music was blasting, we couldnt hear much.

crowd was a fantastic show up.

y was r hecht criticizing the adults in public, that was definately NOT a good lesson for our kids.

looking forward to next lag bomer.

  • impressed

B”H it was a very niice turnout with decent weather, and great pictures to proove it. Webby could you please post the pics of the all floats, thank you in advance.

  • BR Alumni

Bais Rivka’s float really was the best – by far! (and I’m not being prejudice)

  • CHT

To the person who was not impressed with attendance: You probably judge by the aerial picture but it is misleading because crowd was spread out over a large area of Eastern parkway. The attendance was really impressive.
To the person who was upset there were only Lubavitchers: I saw really big group from release time program and some other groups as well, and they were very very happy. Not to mention, there were big events in every frume area of Brooklyn and also there was Israeli Day Parade at the same time.

  • CHT

Just wanted to add that I met Yankel from Dovid’s Kosher Stand on Williams St. at the parade with his wife, they are not Lubavitchers. He told me he was tremendously impressed by the parade. Those are just non-Lubavitchers that I know and met. His boss, Dovid, told me today that he really wanted to come but just could not make it.

  • BRHS glitter applier (& scale cutter)

The way “the clowns infested the place” as someone remarked was adorable.
Chickens may be included as clowns, but they were cuter.

Looking forward to pictures of the floats, especially BRHS’s which seems to be the universal favorite.

  • Amazed

Rabbi Shimon Hecht was fantastic. Beyond description. It is amazing how he managed ot juggle the parade and his own Chabad event on the same day. Kol Hakovod to him, and I’m sure the Rebbe and his father Rabbi J.J. Hecht are extremely proud…

  • Montreal Seminare

I remember those roosters, from ages ago….
Wow, their still looking real! ahhh
    Beautiful parade! :):)
Montreal..was amazing too! not so many people but…Beautiful.
    Good Job!

  • me

I was there but I still want a video
I was really far back and could not see very well\

  • john

it was cute that the morristown marching band gave the extended versiono of the yechi as long as we keep everyone guessing then everyone will groove better to each others ideas mish mash!! yeah!!

  • MELB 2

EXCUSE ME< MELB: when you were thanking the people for the parade in Melbourne, you left out the most important people so I would like to thank OC and YG for their help.

  • MRS L

A BIG YASHER KOACH TO ALL THE YG BOCHURIM FOR ALL THE HOURS THEY PUT IN TO ASSEMBLING THE FLOATS. WE COULDT HAVE DONE IT WITHOUT YOU GUYS!!! THE FLOATS WERE MAMASH INCREDIBLE! I SAW THE BOYS WROKING AT 4 IN THE MORNING, AND I LITTERALLY SHEPPED NACHAS! WE SAW ALL THE BOYS RIDING ON THE FLOATS… GOOD JOB!! WE APPRECIATE ALL YOUR HARD WORK AND DEDICATION! KEEP IT UP!!

  • Melb #2

as a continuation to the comment from “melb”.. a huge thank you goes to the Ohel Chana girls for making it happen… without your endless hours working on and painting the floats the parade would not have been the same. THANK YOU!

  • chana

a big thankyou to Yonasson Hackner and his crew for getting up at 5 am to start assembling the sound system on eastern parkway. They did a great job and rarely get the recognition they deserve.
Chaim Fogelman was great as usual.I thought Mendy Pellin was a very good emcee. The performers on stilts were amazing.
Also a big thankyou to the police and sanitation departments, without their help this parade could not have happened.
