Islanders Fans Cheer on CTeen Menorah
The Barclays Center hosted two consecutive menorah lightings this Chanukah, first at Monday night’s Nets basketball game and then at last night’s Islanders hockey Game.
At the Islanders game, between the first and second quarters, when the sold out stadium was at its max, Jacob Tilem of CTeen of Prospect Heights, NY, lit up the jumbotrons as his Rabbi, Mendy Hecht, proudly watched.
Rabbi Mendy Kotlarsky, executive director of Merkos 302, then shared the Rebbe’s Chanukah message with over 19,000 people.
Rabbi Hecht then thanked the Barclays Center CEO Brett Yormark for making the Jewish Heritage Night a reality.
Dudu Fisher raised the roof with a stellar national anthem rendition and intermission performance.
Both events were coordinated by CTeen.

Its periods, there are three periods in hockey. Not four quarters.
