Oholei Torah Celebrates Hey Teves

Celebrating a chassideshe Yom Tov in a most appropriate manner was the goal of the PTA, as they held their 12th annual Hey Teves Book Fair.

In keeping with the Rebbe’s directive to buy Seforim in honor of Hey Teves, books, CD’s and other Judaica were available for sale a deeply discounted prices for the Oholei Torah students.

Many of the fairs highlights included, bookbinding, Chinese auction, an expanded display of antique seforim and many guest “mashpi’im who held farbrengens and explained to the young students the uniqueness of the day

Each students received a dollar from the PTA – in accordance with the Rebbe’s directive for tzedoka or to use to purchase seforim. In keeping with the theme of Shnas Hakhel, the kindergarten divisions were also includes in the fair, from both sites, 667 as well as East Flatbush.

Rabbi Joseph Rosenfeld, Executive Director, thanked the PTA mothers saying “the excitement and dedication of each PTA member, greatly adds to the overall atmosphere of the school, and is greatly appreciates by the talmidim, staff and faculty”

Due to the expanded book fair, many more PTA mothers came to make sure everything ran smooth and the students enjoyed all the Hey Teves activities.

The event is a project of the Oholei Torah PTA, and is coordinated by a large group of dedicated mothers.
