Anash and Temimim Mourn the Passing of Rabbi Katz

Hundreds of Talmidim and Anash made their way to the Zal of the Yeshiva in Kfar Chabad where Rabbi Yaakov Dov Hakohen Katz OBM served as the Rosh Yeshiva. Hundreds took part in a Tehillim vigil which carried on up to the kevurah.

Although he passed away on Shabbos, Rabbi Landau paskend that the Levaya should take place on Sunday evening in order to allow for Rabbi Katzs’ eldest son Shmuel to arrive from the United States.

Throughout the time spent waiting for Sunday evening hunderds carried on a Tehillim vigil together with the body which was placed in the Zal [study hall] of the Yeshiva in Kfar Chabad where Rabbi Katz served as Rosh Yeshiva.

The Levaya took place at 9:00pm [IL] and left from the Yeshiva in Kfar Chabad to the home of Rabbi Katz in Bnei Brak, and from the to the Chabad Shul on Avraham Street where he served as the Rov of the Shul. He was interred in the Beis Hachayim in Bnei Brak.

The family is sitting Shiva in the Katz home at 8 Shmuel Hanavi Street in Bnei Brak.
