Photos: CGI-Poconos Comes to a Close
Camp Gan Israel in the Poconos has just completed its first successful summer on its newly acquired 83-acre campus. Over 50 girls from Panama, Virgin Islands, California, Florida, Arizona, Texas and the tri-state area enjoyed 4 weeks in the beautiful Pocono Mountains, where they gained a deeper appreciation of their Jewish heritage and a stronger Jewish identity.
From the devoted counselors and staff to the delicious food, to the incredible program, including dance studio, wall climbing, zip lining, basketball, tennis, kickball, swimming, Havdalah candle making, davening, Tzivos Hashem, overnights, trips… this was definitely a summer to remember!
CGI-Poconos would like to thank the Shluchim who entrusted them with their Baalei Batim’s children, and the incredible staff for their dedication and devotion to the Rebbe’s children, “daughters of Sarah, Rivkah, Rochel and Leah”.
As one of the campers, Rachel, remarked on the last day of camp “I feel so much more Jewish—now that I came to this camp, and I can’t wait to go home and learn Tanya with my Shliach.” These girls definitely brought Moshiach closer!
