Benny and 8th Day Rock Crown Heights
Sunday night was an evening to remember for the hundreds who gathered for a special concert at the Brooklyn School of Music in Crown Heights.
Benny Friedman took to the stage and enthralled the crowd with a rendition of Sholom Aleichem, followed by several of his hit songs.
He was soon joined on stage by his cousins, Shmuel and Bentzi Marcus of 8th Day, who performed their newest album’s title hit “Hooleh,” among other hits of theirs both new and old. They were joined for a few songs by their younger brother Eli, who they called up from the crowd to join them on stage.
In a heartwarming moment that moved the audience, Benny and his cousins sang together songs from their bubby’s home.
The concert’s proceeds benefited a local organization which helps support the education of children with special needs.
