Junior N’shei Hold Special Evening
Beautifully set tables. A talented singer. A poignant talk. And a room full of young women gathered together for a unique Junior Nshei event.

I imagine the Rebbe smiled last night.
Beautifully set tables. A talented singer. A poignant talk. And a room full of young women gathered together for the unique Junior Nshei event.
It was important to the Rebbe for young women to be involved in Nshei and the many volunteers mentioned at the evening were a testament to the increasing number of women offering their talents and time. As par for the course for Junior Nshei events, the evening drew a full house.
The women who attended knew how important it is to take time for themselves, to sit around the lovely tables and enjoy in a delicious hot buffet donated by the Marketplace and set up by Smadar Events.
Instead of another night doing laundry and housework, they enjoyed the soulful, spirited singing of Esther Freeman. The lyrics she composed contained themes applicable to us all. Shlucha, Mrs. Vivi Deren, alternated between humor and poignancy to bring forth the message of embracing each day with joy.
The beautifully arranged auction called “An Auction for YOU”, featured nine packages geared for women. They were generously sponsored by local establishments and sure to pamper the winners in both body and soul.

An Organized You – C. Calmanson (interior design sessions, organizing paraphernalia, $100 for a cleaning lady)
A Shabbos You – Susan Shapiro (wine, fish, chicken, challah and cakes, $100 at Dovid Malka’s)
A Spiritual You – Kaila H. (CDs by Manis Friedman, Nshei Chabad Newsletter subscription, Lessons in Tanya)
A Healthy You – Rochy Sandhaus (session of personal training, gift certificate to Apple Drugs, $125 to Essel Eyewear, All in Align session)
A Beautiful You – Sara Namdar (mani, pedi, facial, massage, $25 of makeup)
A Celebratory You – Rochel Gordon (personalized cookies and confections, ice cream cake, free print development, party goods, games)
A Culinary You – Liora (blender, microwave, 2 cookbooks, hostess set)
A Kitchenless You- Miri Lipsker (gift certificates to Mendy’s, Cafe Venezia, Kaff Kafe and Empire grill, $50 for babysitting or a cab)
