8th Graders Enjoy A Shabbaton on the Space Coast
Miami, FL — Students in the Klurman Mesivta’s 8th grade enjoyed an exciting Shabbaton on Florida’s space coast, with trips to the NASA space center, local Chabad House, and an Eco-safari.
Friday morning 5:00 AM: After loading their luggage into their vehicles, grade 8A of Klurman Mesivta headed out towards the world famous NASA Space Center.
Accompanied by their Shluchim and teacher, they spent the day enjoying the great attractions offered in the space center, ranging from the IMAX, to the “In flight simulator”, seeing the biggest space shuttle ever made, as well as meeting a real astronaut in full gear.
After Mikva and showers, they settled in for Shabbos at the Chabad House of Satellite Beach. On Shabbos, they said Tehillim had an inspiring Davening, and Farbrenged with Rabbi Konikov as well as members of the community well into the afternoon.
On Sunday, they went to an Eco-Safari, where they saw many animals native to the state of Florida and thoroughly enjoyed a zip- lining experience.
A special thanks to Rabbis Smith, Konikov, the parents, and all those who helped make the Shabbaton possible!
