Photos: Putting up the ‘Moshiach’ Sign on Kingston

A group of people put up a sign on Kingston and President last night, coinciding with the date the Rebbe said the Sicha on Chof Ches Nissan “Do All That You Can to Bring Moshiach”.

    If everyone here just wants peace, then why must they qualify it with “peace… through the messiah”? Is it that they think he’s the only one that can do it? I hope not, because that attitude ain’t gonna get us anywhere. Or maybe it’s because they want peace – but only under their conditions? Just questions that’s been on my mind lately.

    The wording of this sign is exactly what the Rebbe was railing AGAINST on 28 Nissan. As long as we think that Moshiach is “coming” (automatically/”the Rebbe/Hashem will take care of it”), and we merely have to get “ready” for him, ain’t nothing gonna happen.

    The point was that Moshiach is NOT magically going to appear one day. WE have to make Moshiach a reality!

      So you think the Rebbe’s words about polishing the buttons are no longer operative?!

      His comments about “maybe there will be one, two or three among you who will know what needs to be done” are definitely still in effect. Because the rest of us are behaving like a bunch of golems!

    If I understand correctly, the “Do All That You Can to Bring…” is about doing something to bring Moshiach rather than just being ready.

    As an outsider–I do not live in the golius of Crown Heights, and as someone who has studied the Rebbe’s works as well as followed his teachings,his message has been misinterpreted. In order to be\ring Mochiach, it is up to us to promote harmony and unity amongst ourselves and the world through goodness and kindness and the examplification of the Tar Yag Mitzvos. No amount of signs and screaming Yehai will accomplish anything–it is just stuff and nonsense. A polite “thank you” will accomplish more. If we all work together in unison to bring tranquility and to promote the basic commands of G-d including the seven laws of Noach, then these acts of goodness and kindness will convince G-d that is is time to take the ultimate step and send Mochiach.

    Moshiach is olam He is watching everyone and always has. Moshiach is from Above with real Koach. We are from dust. l know its time we stop the lashon hara against each other quickly. Shalom.
