Snow Leads to Hundreds of Flight Cancelations
American Airlines, US Airways and many other carriers have canceled almost 1,800 flights, as winter-weary New York City is once again covered in a fresh blanket of snow.
Flights have been canceled in all three New York City area airports: JFK, Newark and LaGuardia.
Passengers are advised to check with their airline before heading out to the airport.
The National Weather Service predicts more snow, freezing rain and sleet all day today, Monday.
Transit officials say service on New York City subways, the Long Island Rail Road and Metro-North are operating on a regular weekday schedule.
